The trail may twist, but His presence never wavers.
The trail may twist, but His presence never wavers.

It’s one of those days. You know the kind—those really hard days when something you were hoping for didn’t go as planned. A day when the news you received took your breath away and left you feeling like you wanted to crawl outside of your body, because feeling the feelings seemed too overwhelming.

And then it hits you. You breathe in, center yourself, and remember whose hands you are in. No matter what happens going forward, you are going to be okay.

You go for a walk. You look behind you at all the wonderful experiences and moments you’ve been given. You look ahead on the path, and though you may not see it yet, there is beauty waiting. Then you glance down at your feet, and in that moment, you hear a whisper: All is going to be okay in this moment in time.

This moment in time is all any of us truly have. We have a choice—to live it in peace, knowing that in all circumstances we are held by a God who knows all things, or to live it in fear, listening to the whispers of Satan, whose greatest desire is for us to dwell in fear.

You continue to breathe. You take one step after another and focus your thoughts on all the blessings in life—the simple things. Like leaves changing colors. The sound of a squirrel scurrying along the trail. The sun suddenly poking out from under the clouds at the exact moment you need to feel warmth on your back. And you know, in that very moment, that warmth is your Maker reminding you: I am near.

Tell me then—there is no God? You’ll never change my mind. He is with me. No matter what the world says, I see the little blessings every day, even when it feels like I could come unraveled at any moment. He reminds me I am His. He holds my future in His hands. And no matter the outcome, all will be as it should be.

Satan whispers fear. The Holy Spirit whispers, I am near you. Feel My peace.   Be mindful of the whisper you listen to. The latter is truth.

Grace to you,

Cindy
