Who Do You Turn to for Guidance?

Do you ever feel like everything is going wonderfully well—like a sweet gift you’ve longed for—and then, slowly over time, subtle shifts and signs begin to appear? You start to sense that all may not be as it seemed. A new reality sets in—one you didn’t see coming. Or maybe, deep down, you knew all along but held on tightly to the feelings, the experience, or the environment because of what it brought you.

Regardless of which scenario fits, clarity has suddenly come. You’re seeing things as they are—not as you hoped they would be.

So, what’s next?

Today is a good day for a gentle reminder: in all things, we can choose to acknowledge God and turn to Him as our first line of defense and guidance. We can ask Him to reveal the truth we need to see and the steps we may need to take—whether that means accepting, waiting, or moving in a new direction.

Sometimes all it takes is a shift in attitude. Other times, it may require modeling new behaviors. And occasionally, it means doing nothing—just waiting and releasing the outcome.

In any case, God already knows your situation. He rejoices when you turn toward Him in faith and prayer, choosing to place the situation in His mighty hands. Ask not that your will be done, but that His will be done. Then be patient, and trust that He will reveal the solution in His perfect timing.

Work on being willing to accept the answer He brings to light—and act on it, even if fear tries to hold you back.

Whether your reality has truly changed or your rose-colored glasses are simply being removed, you can still rely on our almighty God. He stands ready to help you navigate the uncertainty you may feel.

Today, consider asking yourself: “What understanding or knowledge is God revealing to me?” “How can I respond in a trusting way, releasing all results?”
