Sharing Your Path Can Encourage Others - Our Transformation is a Witness to Others
Sharing Your Path Can Encourage Others - Our Transformation is a Witness to Others

I got to thinking the other day about why I’ve been so open about my life and the things I’ve learned — especially over the last five-plus years. Yes, it’s vulnerable. Yes, it allows people who don’t know me to see deeply into the things I’ve walked through and endured. But my motive for sharing has always been simple: I have a heart and a calling to help and serve others. It certainly isn’t for attention or fanfare (insert chuckle here).

After all, how could sharing my fears, uncertainties, shortcomings — along with my healing, victories, and lessons learned — help anyone if I wasn’t willing to open up and release the wisdom I’ve gained through trial, error, and a wide assortment of life experiences?

I’ve never claimed to be an expert. What I can offer is listening ears, understanding, grace, compassion, wisdom, and lessons learned. And perhaps most importantly, I can offer the ability to ask powerful questions — the kind that help you process, learn, and get motivated to move forward with the decisions, projects, goals, and outcomes you want to accomplish. Coaching questions have a way of revealing what’s holding us back so we can take steps forward instead of staying stuck in places where we feel unhappy, bored, or unfulfilled.

That’s what motivated me to create The Next Right Step Guide. One of the most transformative things I’ve done recently is take a closer look at my values and goals — and then honestly evaluate whether my decisions were lining up with what I said mattered to me. I had to face some rude awakenings when I realized they weren’t. But once I acknowledged that, I was able to rearrange my time and energy around my true values and begin living them out. It has been liberating and deeply intentional.

It’s still a process — trying, adjusting, learning — but little by little, I’ve settled into a new rhythm. A slower, more intentional way of life. One with less stress and anxiety. One that has been genuinely life-giving.

So why wouldn’t I want to create something to help and serve others?

  • What might you be waiting for?

  • What decision or actions are you avoiding and why?

  • What small step are you hesitating to take — one that could benefit you and the people you care most deeply for?

  • What is keeping YOU from living out the life you desire?

I truly believe I’d be doing a disservice to my purpose if I didn’t share what I’ve learned in nearly 60 years on this planet.
