Life Is Humming Along and Then Sudden Changes Occur - What's Next?

At times, life hums along, and it feels like all the stars are in alignment—happy and joy-filled days. Then, suddenly, something happens. Not just one thing, but several, very hard things. The unexpected loss of a loved one, a cancer diagnosis of another, major life changes—all at once, as if they come in threes.
The best thing we can do is breathe, turn to scripture, and rely on trustworthy friends and family as we move forward with courage. A friend reminded me today that our trials are our greatest blessings, shaping us spiritually and drawing us closer to God. When we view our hardships through this lens, a peaceful mindset follows.
Waiting is hard. Walking through the wilderness is hard. But when we cling to God's promises, He will—and does—give us hope and peace that surpass all understanding. This doesn’t mean we won’t experience sadness, anger, confusion, fear, or anxiety, but it does mean He has our back. We must continue to call on Him, reaching for His hand to guide us forward, even when the path ahead is unclear.

Trials and Temptations
2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
Know that as you walk through trials, God is there, and He is drawing you closer to Him to sanctify you.
