Because God’s truth doesn’t shift with circumstances.
Because God’s truth doesn’t shift with circumstances.

You are NEVER Alone

You are ALWAYS Loved

You are FORGIVEN

You are FEARFULLY and WONDERFULLY MADE

You are PROTECTED

As we go through our lives, we grasp and look for other people, places, or things to provide us with company, love, forgiveness, worthiness, and safety. These are all needs we have as humans. These needs are not incorrect or shallow. It’s when we look to things on earth and place them in a position higher than our Creator that we end up in a state of anxiety and uncertainty when one or more of these items is removed from our lives.

When we place earthly things or people in the stead of God, they become our identity or our idol. And when these things falter, fail, or disappoint us (and they will), it’s like walking on shifting sand. We become unsteady, disappointed, upset, or angry because we were counting on these things to fill a void, need, or expectation that only God—in His steadfast way—can truly fill.

What are the five truths then that we can ALWAYS count on, and where can they be found? Maybe you need a reminder today, or maybe this is the first time you’ve considered this. The truths are promised and found in God’s living Word. The Bible is not some old, outdated book that should sit on a shelf collecting dust. The Word is everlasting, freeing, and meant to be turned to for wisdom and truth. It contains the best lessons of all time. Much like the life lessons learned from our parents, grandparents, or other loving figures, this book of knowledge can be counted on forever.

Below are examples of where these truths are found in Scripture. If you are feeling one or all of these things today, I encourage you to grab your Bible, dust it off, and give it a read.

I feel ALONE — God says You’ll NEVER Be Alone “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” (Hebrews 13:5)

I feel unloved — God says You are ALWAYS Loved “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.” (Jeremiah 31:3)

I feel unforgiven — God says You are FORGIVEN “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9)

I feel unworthy — God says You are FEARFULLY and WONDERFULLY MADE “I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful; I know that full well.” (Psalm 139:14)

I feel afraid — God says You are PROTECTED “The Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.” (2 Thessalonians 3:3)

He is real, alive, and present with you always. Trust in His truths! There are so many more to explore.

With grace and gratitude,

Cindy
